Data collection on our website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?

The data on this website is processed by the website operator. You can find his contact details in the imprint of this website.

How do we record your details?

Your data will be collected on the one hand, by you providing these. This may for example, include data that you have entered on a contact form.

Our IT systems will automatically register other data on visiting the website. This involves mainly technical data (e.g. Internet browser, operating system or time of visiting the site). These data are registered automatically as soon as you visit our website.

What do we use your details for?

Some of the details are collected in order to guarantee a flawless provision of the website. Other details can be used to analyse your user patterns.

What are your rights regarding your details?

You have the right at any time to receive information at no charge regarding origin, receipt and purpose of the personal details that have been stored on you. You also have the right to have these details corrected, blocked or deleted. For this purpose as well as for further questions about data protection, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint. You also have the right to complain to the competent supervisory body.

You also have the right under certain circumstances to restrict the processing of your personal details. Details on this are contained in the Privacy Policy under “Right to restriction of processing”.

2 General details and compulsory information

Data protection

The operators of these sites take your personal details very seriously. We will handle your personal details in confidence and in accordance with the legal provisions on data protection and this Privacy Policy.

Various personal details will be collected when you visit this website. Personal details includes information with which you can be personally identified. This Privacy Policy shows which details we collect and what we use them for. It also shows how and for what purpose this takes place.

We would like to point out that there may be security holes in data transfer over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail). Complete protection of details against third party attack is not possible.

Note to the responsible agency

The responsible data processing unit on this website is:

Rechtsanwälte Achour & Partner mbB
Hasenheide 71
10967 Berlin

Tel.: +49 30 76 76 58 58
e-mail: rechtsanwalt@ra-achour.de

The responsible agency is the natural or legal person who, alone or in cooperation with others, decides on the purposes and means of processing personal details (such as names, e-mail addresses, etc.).

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may revoke previous consent at any time. An informal message by e-mail to us is sufficient. The revocation will not affect the legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation takes effect.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and direct advertising (art. 21, GDPR)

If details are processed based on art. 6, para. 1, sub e or f, GDPR, you have the right, on personal grounds, at any time to object to the processing of your personal details; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis for processing can be found in this Privacy Policy. If you object, we will cease processing your personal details unless we can provide evidence of compelling legitimate grounds for processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or if processing serves the purpose of asserting, pursuing or defending legal claims (Objection in accordance with art. 21, para. 1, GDPR).

If your personal details are processed for direct advertising purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal details for the purpose of such advertising; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with such direct advertising. If you object, your personal details will then no longer be used for direct advertising (Objection in accordance with art. 21, para. 2, GDPR).

Right of appeal to the competent supervisory authority

In the case of violations of the GDPR, aggrieved parties have a right of appeal to a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of alleged infringement. The right to complain applies without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to have details that we automatically process based on your consent or in fulfilment of a contract submitted to you or to a third party in a standard, machine-readable format. If you require the direct transfer of the data to another responsible person, this will only be done if technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as a site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. An encrypted connection is indicated by the browser’s address bar changing from “http://” to “https://” and the lock icon in your browser bar. If SSL or TLS encryption is enabled, the data you submit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, blocking, deletion and correction

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal details, their origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if necessary, the right to correct, block or delete these details. For this purpose as well as for further questions on your personal details, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal details. For this purpose, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint. You may demand the restriction of processing in the following cases:

  • If you contest the accuracy of your personal details stored with us, we usually need time to verify this. You have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal details while this is being verified.
  • If the processing of your personal details is unlawful, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal details but you need them to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal details be restricted instead of deleted.
  • If you have filed an objection under art. 21, para. 1, GDPR, a balance must be made between your interests and ours. As long as it is not clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal details.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal details, these details may – with the exception of their storage – only be processed with your consent or for the purposes of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims or protecting the rights of another natural or legal person or for important public interests of the European Union or a Member State.

4 Data collection on our website

Cookies

Some Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any harm to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies help to make our offer more user friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and stored by your browser.

Most of the cookies that we use are so-called “session cookies”. They will be deleted automatically once your visit has ended. Other cookies will remain on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser when you visit next.

You can adjust your browser settings to inform you that cookies are being placed and only permit cookies in individual cases, to accept cookies for certain cases or to generally exclude these or to activate the automatic deletion of the cookies when closing the browser. This website’s functionality may be limited if cookies are deactivated.

Cookies required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions desired by you (e.g. shopping cart function) are stored based on art. 6 para. 1, sub. f, GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically correct and optimized provision of its services. If other cookies (such as cookies for analysing your browsing patterns) are stored, they will be treated separately in this Privacy Policy.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of server request
  • IP address

These data are not merged with other data sources.

These data are registered in accordance with art. 6, para. 1 sub f, GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

Contact form

If you send us requests via the contact form, we will store your personal details from the request form including your contact details provided for the purpose of processing the request and for follow-up questions. We will not pass on these details without your permission.

The details entered on the contact form will be processed exclusively based on your consent (art. 6, para 1, sub a, GDPR). You may revoke this consent at any time. An informal message by e-mail to us is sufficient. The revocation will not affect the legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation takes effect.

We will retain the information you provide on the contact form until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for storage no longer applies (for example, after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions, especially retention periods remain unaffected.

Inquiry by e-mail, telephone or fax

If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, your request including all personal details resulting from this (name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We will not pass on these details without your permission.

The processing of these data is based on art. 6, para. 1, sub b, GDPR if your request relates to the performance of a contract or is required to carry out pre-contractual action. In all other cases, the processing is based on your consent (art. 6, para. 1, sub a, GDPR) and/or our legitimate interests (art. 6, para. 1, sub f, GDPR) as we have a legitimate interest in the effective processing of requests addressed to us.

We will retain the information you provide on the contact form until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for storage no longer applies (for example, after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions, especially legal retention periods remain unaffected.
